For this group project we had a photographer as client. The idea behind the nucleus was to have a core in the room working as the serving part of the house by hosting services and bed. The rest of the spaces should have been used to admire the photographer’s gallery.
The choice of material came by the thought of enhancing the photographic gallery effect and presence. Principally dark colors with a touch of spatial effect given by the mirrored multi-surface nucleus in the middle of the room.

In a room of 56m2 and 5 meters high, the goal was to bring in a multi-use nucleus. It had to host a bathroom, a kitchen, a wardrobe and a bed.
Since the room had such high ceiling, the choice was to create a second story for the bed. This allowed to gather more space around the nucleus and set a photographic gallery at the walls.
To save space, the succession bathroom-shower-wardrobe was made by using sliding doors and based on the morning routine, starting from the bathroom, through the shower and finally to the wardrobe.
The Nucleus has been lifted to create a floating effect and a clear separation between the materials.
This enhanced the effect of the reflective surfaces and gave the nucleus a dominant character in the room.
